When nominations for the 90th Academy Awards® were announced this morning, Deluxe was thrilled to learn that two of our creative artists are among the nominees: Deluxe Toronto Re-Recording Mixers Christian Cooke and Brad Zoern, for their work on The Shape of Water.
The Shape of Water, from Director Guillermo del Toro, was recognized with 13 Oscar nominations as well as the PGA’s Best Picture award, two Golden Globes, and 12 BAFTA nominations, is an other-worldly fable in which lonely Elisa’s life is changed forever when she discovers a secret classified government experiment. Cooke and Zoern are recognized alongside fellow production mixer Glen Gauthier. The movie was posted at Deluxe Toronto with Chris Wallace handling final color.
We’re also excited to see a Visual Effects Award nomination for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, with VFX work by Method Studios.
