Deluxe has teamed with the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC), Blackmagic Design, and American Airlines for a masterclass on May 4 with industry-leading cinematographers and colorists exploring the intersection of these two critical creative processes. Titled “Cinematography and Color: How the Pros Do It,” the educational event will feature panel discussions with DP Dana Gonzales, ASC, and Encore Senior Colorist Tony D’Amore, who recently collaborated on FX’s hit show “Fargo,” and DP Michael Goi, ASC, with EFILM Senior Colorist Walter Volpatto, who recently worked together on the upcoming feature “Words on Bathroom Walls.” Additionally, Deluxe colorist Andre Rivas will host a live color grading demo using Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve Studio to show how he color finishes a shot.
Students and young professionals are invited to RSVP at the event page here to learn from the experts about creative collaboration, practical workflow tips, and much more. Space is limited.
This event will be held at Deluxe’s Stage One Theater in Hollywood. Attendees are eligible for on-site giveaways from American Airlines and Blackmagic Design, including two seats of DaVinci Resolve.
